According to Hurriyet Daily News, the Ministry declares that children can mistake Minecraft's blocky, pixelated world for real and be led to believe that torturing animals was acceptable. Sure; okay. The reason the company is looking at Microsoft's $2.5 billion acquisition in the first place? to determine if the game encouraged violence against women. Its heart was at least right from the beginning.

p>Even if you're only armed with a basic knowledge of Minecraft it is likely that the whole thing sounds too bizarre to be real. Unfortunately, this isn't the situation. VentureBeat? states that Turkey is the first to ban the game in the event that the Ministry's petition proves successful however Turkey has no history of banning violent games. Given the government's history of preventing access to sites like Twitter and YouTube, however, it's unclear if it'll follow suit with Mojang's baby.
