p>Gamescom 2022 will unveil new information for Minecraft Legends and Sega's Sonic Frontiers and will likely reveal more on Modern Warfare 2 and Bethesda's upcoming space RPG Starfield. It's the first live Gamescom since 2019, but you can still stream the opening night stream hosted by Geoff Keighley, from the comfort of your own computer. Here's how to watch Gamescom 2022.

p>Gamescom 2022 starts on August 23rd. If you're located in the UK the show starts at 7pm. Viewers from the US East Coast can tune in at 2PM. PT viewers can start at 11AM.

p>The most significant news that has been confirmed so far is the unveiling of further details and possibly more gameplay footage from Sonic Frontiers, but host Geoff Keighley has also confirmed that the Gamescom opening show will feature "30+ games" which means that it's likely some more of 2022 and 2023's biggest games will be teased, too.

p>Call of Duty: Vanguard was released with a brand new gameplay trailer during last year's event. Modern Warfare 2 seems to be a good bet this year. There's also the possibility of God of War: Ragnarok, FIFA 23, and upcoming survival horror The Callisto Protocol. p>The official Game Awards YouTube channel and Twitch channel will stream the opening ceremony live. It might be worth tuning in a half hour before the event, as past events have featured announcements and gameplay footage. Of course, if you're considering traveling to Cologne, Germany, and watching Gamescom in person, you'll be able to purchase tickets from the official website of the event. Xbox will also have its own stream at Gamescom and is expected to show off Minecraft Legends and A Plague Tale: Requiem. You can stream it on any of the Xbox social channels, including YouTube.
