p>YouTuber? and Minecraft streamer Technoblade was killed at the age of 23 after a year-long battle with cancer of stage 4.

p>The content creator, from San Francisco, who kept his identity secret and only made his name public in his final video, titled "Alex," soared to fame after he began posting videos of himself playing Minecraft on YouTube in 2013 - and later going on to amass more than 10 million subscribers.

p>He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last August and had spent most of the last year in a secluded area as he underwent chemotherapy.

p>Although it's not clear the type of cancer Alex had, he went on to raise money for sarcoma charities - and in December Alex announced that he'd undergone surgery to remove a tumor in his arm.

p>The father of the deceased who isn't well-known, shared the sad news of his son's death with his many followers in a video posted today to Technoblade's YouTube channel. The video was named "So long nerds" and included a posthumous message of goodbye from the YouTube star.

p>Calling his son 'the most amazing kid' he also released an audio recording of his son, who stated"If I had another hundred lives, I believe I'd choose to be Technoblade again every single time as those were the most wonderful years of my life.'
