Stereotypes can be deceiving and create false perceptions about a group or community.

Women are not offered the same opportunities in films and television that men are.

Even if they do get an opportunity in the workplace, they are less likely to be perceived as independent and strong-willed.

For example in James Bond's films female characters are shown as damsels in distress victims, and in need of help.

Women don't always portray the persona they're.

This misrepresentation may result from a deficiency in female filmmakers, specifically women of color who are able to tell the true story of women.

There are also concerns about censorship in showing "taboo∩ issues such as sexual assault or rape.

In the conservative world women are unable to discuss certain topics as taboos. Netflix is one of very few platforms that allows women to speak freely about taboo subjects.

Stereotyping can cause many negative effects.

It could have a negative impact on self-esteem, ability to make decisions as well as mental well-being. Self-stereotyping could cause an individual to behave in a particular manner to gain connected.

That's why we should have more women on our screens. What will motivate young girls to reach their full potential regardless of their race and color?

Female executives need to be shown in TV and film.

Women have been fighting for their needs from the very beginning of time. This is especially true for women who are black.

After years of protests, demonstrations, American women finally gained the right to vote in 1920.

Yet black women remained disenfranchised because of certain state laws.

In order to have the same opportunities for employment as white women Women of color have to be twice as hard. Additionally, they must contend with microaggressions and gender bias.

Even though she was a close friend who had worked for an organization for six (6)years however, her boss wasn't aware of her name. Contrary to her fellow white employees, she was compelled by her boss to wear a badge bearing her name on it.

To be not overlooked women, and women of color need to have the opportunity to be seated at each table.

More diversity in film and television could lead to more representation.

Society is more accepting of women of colour and other minorities following the phrase, "Seeing is believing".
