p>He read his son's final message on the YouTube channel where the 20-something had entertained more 11 million users with Minecraft gameplay and humorous commentary. The titlewas "So long nerds."

p>Technoblade, a YouTube personality who built a following of millions with his wry commentary on videos of himself playing Minecraft has passed away, his father announced in a video that was posted on the account of his son.

/p>

p>More than 11 million subscribers made it a habit of watching screen recordings of Technoblade's Minecraft gameplay, while he gave commentary off camera. He explained everyday life events in his videos, some as mundane as going to the doctor for a D.M.V. or as devastating as receiving a cancer diagnosis.

p>A video entitled "so long nerds," that was uploaded to Technoblade's YouTube channel on Thursday and has been viewed more than 26 million times by Friday afternoon, deviated from the channel's typical style of bright, pixelated bricks. http://www.sectionaltitlecentre.co.za/members/knotpacket0/activity/417425/ Technoblade's father is instead sitting in a chair with a small white dog on an unassuming white background.

/p>

p>His father, who does not give his name reads a message from his child that begins: "Hello everyone. https://camelarcher9.wordpress.com/2022/11/09/a-sample-of-a-custom-skin/ Technoblade is here. You can see me dead if you're watching this.

/p>

p>The message goes on to reveal Technoblade's initial name, Alex, which he did not use on the internet. The video also features several pictures of Alex with his loved ones. Alex rarely appeared in YouTube videos and preferred to present himself as a crowned, sword-wielding porcine.

/p>

p>"If I had another hundred lives I'm sure I'd prefer to be Technoblade over and over again," Alex's letter says. "Those were the most joyful years of my life."

/p>

p>His father, who remains emotional throughout the film, says he and his son talked for months about whether or not to create the final video. Instead, Alex decided to write the letter and died around eight hours after having completed it, his father says.

/p>

p>He states, "I don∏t think he did everything he wanted to, but I think that he was able to get the main points."

/p>

p>The video concludes with a written declaration that Alex's mother (who is not named) wrote. She wrote that her son was averse to fame and was self-deprecating, even when his channel grew in popularity.

/p>

p>"From Technoblade's first days on the web, he was constantly thinking of ways to delight and reward his fans by offering online prizes, encouraging good sportsmanship and, perhaps most importantly, sharing his Minecraft adventures for entertainment and laughs," she wrote.

/p>

p>Alex's family couldn't be reached on Friday. https://holder-cook.federatedjournals.com/what-is-minecraft-servers-list-mean-1668020864 Hypixel, a gaming company that collaborated with Technoblade and Alex's family, confirmed that the family had asked that inquiries for comment not be sent to them. Don Pireso, the company administrator, wrote in a tweet that "The video they shared includes all the information they're confident about sharing."

/p>

p>Alex uploaded his August video on his YouTube channel. It was in this video that he first acknowledged his diagnosis of cancer. Like the other videos video, it played the game while the actor spoke out of camera. He maintained his self-deprecating and humorous style, refusing to be too earnest. He also disclosed his age, which was 22.

/p>

p>He recalled how his first chemotherapy treatment left exhausted that he couldn't even sit up for an appointment via video with an oncologist. He then joked "Sitting in the chair, am I Superman?"

/p>

p>After experiencing extreme pain in his arm, he said he was diagnosed. He initially dismissed it as a repetitive strain injury caused by playing video games however, after some days of rest, he stated, his shoulder "was swelling like crazy."

/p>

p>He also urged people to take the Covid-19 vaccine, stating that the treatments for cancer have weakened his immune system, which put him at risk of serious illness from the coronavirus.

/p>

p>"I'm going to stand up and speak on behalf of all cancer patients when I say that it is extremely annoying that hospitals are overloaded with patients dying of preventable illnesses," he said in the video. "I'm just saying that we've got a right to use the beds in hospitals."

/p>

p>Technoblade's friends, fans and followers on social media praised his wit and humor as well as being an example for Minecraft players.

/p>

p>Minecraft is distinct from other games in that its owner, Microsoft does not have control over the servers where players can interact online. Instead, players can create their own servers and join with others to form a vast universe of worlds within the Minecraft universe.

/p>

p>Hypixel which runs a network of Minecraft servers, announced that it had created a digital book in which people could write messages and then they could be printed and distributed to Technoblade's family and friends. The tribute of the company included a picture of Technoblade's pig avatar as statue. Technoblade's success is tied in many ways to the achievement and success of a lot of people.
