In August 2021, he took it public by revealing to his followers that he had been diagnosed with cancer. He shared the news via a video of him playing Minecraft.

p>TommyInnit?, another popular YouTuber? wrote on Twitter: "Technoblade, a legend. From being a huge fan, to one of his closest friends, I cannot even begin to describe how grateful I am to have been in his life. I'm sure he's planning in heaven on how to beat God."

p>Sarcoma Foundation of America sent a statement to CNN, paying tribute to Technoblade and offering its condolences to his family.

p>Brandi Felser, CEO of the charity, stated in the statement: "Technoblade rallied his supporters to raise over $500,000 in the past to fund sarcoma research.
