Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, who was raised by a loving family and supported by his parents. He is the eldest of three sons born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God on her son from the age of a child.
The LoveWorld? ministry is comprised of all members of the family. The Reverend brother of Ken (the revered pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren?, the director of LoveWorld? Music and Arts Ministry is home of several best-selling gospel artists.
Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon chose to follow her father's example in sharing God's Word to all people. The name is CSO (Community Service Organization) She is a gifted gospel singer and is a part of the LoveWorld? Music and Arts community.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies in Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to study the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he earned the BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He is also an honorary doctorate of divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received his calling from God to join the ministry and to serve the Lord.

While still at university, the Man of God established what would eventually be the largest congregation worldwide. It began as an uninvolved group of believers known as 'Youth for Christ'. The group would later become the foundation for LoveWorld? Incorporated and Christ Embassy, and eventually millions of followers worldwide.

In addition to preaching the Gospel message, the Man Of God has also created NGOs which are charged with providing vital services and hope for those who are the least vulnerable and neglected. COFI is supported by five partners, all of whom is committed to improving living standards in the remotest regions.
