p>Gamescom 2022 will see new details for Minecraft Legends and Sega's Sonic Frontiers and could reveal more on Modern Warfare 2 and Bethesda's upcoming space RPG Starfield. This is the first live Gamescom since the beginning of 2019, but you can still catch the opening night stream hosted by Geoff Keighley, from the convenience of your computer. Here's how you can watch Gamescom 2022.

p>Gamescom 2022 kicks off August 23, and if you're in the UK it starts at 7PM, with viewers on the US East Coast able to watch at 2PM, whereas those on PT can start at 11AM.

p>The biggest, confirmed news so far is the unveiling of more details and possibly more gameplay footage from Sonic Frontiers, but host Geoff Keighley has also confirmed that the Gamescom opening show will feature "30+ games" It's possible that some more of 2022 and 2023's biggest releases will be teased, too.

p>Call of Duty: Vanguard received a new gameplay trailer at last years event. Modern Warfare 2 seems like an attractive bet for this year's release. Our personal most-wanted items include Dead Space Resident Evil 4's remake and Starfield. But for now, we're only speculating and hope.

p>The official Game Awards YouTube channel and Twitch channels will stream the opening event live. It might be worth tuning for a half-hour prior to the event, since previous events have featured announcements and gameplay footage. You can still buy tickets through the official website if intend to travel to Cologne, Germany. Xbox will have its own stream at Gamescom where it's scheduled to stream Minecraft Legends and A Plague Tale : Requiem. You can stream that on any of the Xbox social channels including YouTube.
