p>The Beano's Dennis, Gnasher and Walter join Minecraft By Emily Thomas Newsbeat reporter

/p>

p>Minecraft players should be on the watch for Walter "softy" and his stinky pants.

/p>

p>Walter, Dennis the Menace and his dog Gnasher, from The Beano, can now be added to PC versions of the game.

/p>

p>Gnasher can be made an ointment by players and all of Dennis' pranks, such as stink bombs and catapults, can be employed.

/p>

p>It's part of the Beano's wider plans to expand into digital media and its model has emerged from a partnership between the show and Frima Studios, a Canadian multiplatform game developer.

/p>

p>Mark Cotton, who is leading the Beano's digital changes Mark Cotton, who is leading the Beano's digital transformations, said to Newsbeat: "If you talk to any 7 to 11-year-old child, Minecraft is probably their most fervent love and passion."

/p>

p>Mark says the game is an "extension" of the comic and an attempt to make The Beano "a more overall experience" for kids.

/p>

p>He says that 32,000 comics are sold every Week of the Beano which is an impressive figure.

/p>

p>But it's still far less than the two million copies sold at the magazines' peak.

/p>

p>Mark says, "We are very conscious that today's kids are passionate about digital."

/p>

p>"We have to transform The Beano into an all-encompassing brand where Dennis and Gnasher is everywhere kids are, instead expecting that they will come to us.

/p>

p>"So we're working on a variety of initiatives in the next three to six months."

/p>

p>Some of these initiatives include puzzle apps, an interactive comic, and an "action 3D game for kids".

/p>

p>The Beano's publisher DC Thompson has already extended the brand onto a TV show, a photo-sharing app and YouTube channel.

/p>

p>Grand Theft Auto?

/p>

p>The comic has been around since 1938 and has a lot of adult fans. So might the Beano characters make an appearance in any adult games - Dennis the Menace in Grand Theft Auto perhaps?

/p>

p>"No. Mark says, "No.

/p>

p>"We're focused on the 7 to 11-year-old digital product - for the moment, digital for us is about engaging with kids and understanding their passions."

/p>

p>And to do that they've consulted an advisory group of 10 7 to 11-year-old Beano and Minecraft fans throughout the development process.

/p>

p>Minnie the Minx

/p>

p>"We basically asked children"If Beano were to be in Minecraft, what would it look like?

/p>

p>"This was the first stage of what they envisioned. Their imaginations are able to go far beyond what we are able to do right now.

/p>

p>"But they wanted Pranks They wanted Walter, they wanted Gnasher, they wanted to dress up as Dennis, and that's what we've offered them.

/p>

p>"We'll continue to talk to them. We want to expand this and create Beanotown to allow kids to be creative. http://test.vnushator.ru/members/hubcapstring52/activity/624943/ </p>

p>"Minecraft is so beloved because it gives the power to children. We cannot force children to do something and they'd resent it.

/p>

p>Are there any other characters that might be allowed in?

/p>

p>Mark says, "We certainly want to extend it."

/p>

p>"The obvious character and the ones the kids have been looking for is Minnie the Minx so we'd most likely look at next."
