p>The <b>Minecraft Forum</b> is an online community forum for <i>Minecraft</i>. It was established on June 16 2009 by a community member citricsquid. It continues to be run by the community and with Mojang Studios having no involvement in day-to-day operations (although some Mojang Studios employees have accounts on the site).

p>In September 2010, Redstone Wire Ltd. was established to manage the site, and on November 15, 2010, the site was acquired by Curse. Curse owned and operated the site until it was purchased by MagicFind? in June 2019. The forum software used is known as Cobalt and was developed in-house by Curse.

p>The forum is an information hub for the <i>Minecraft</i> community, with games, maps that are custom servers, resource packs, and servers all being shared. The registration process is free, and anyone without a <i>Minecraft</i> account is able to use the site. Forum administration is managed by citricsquid and PuyoDead? as well as the forum moderators team is comprised of more than 100 volunteers.

p>The homepage of the site includes videos, news, interviews, contests and articlesthat are related to <i>Minecraft</i>, Mojang Studios and the <i>Minecraft</i> community in general. Sacheverell manages the front-page news with videos from the MCSpotlights YouTube Channel as well as the Curse YouTube Channel.

p>On May 20, 2019, citricsquid announced that the forums would become read-only on June 16, 2019. https://securecontent.co/ But, on June 12, 2019, the archival was removed and the ownership of the site was transferred to another company. [6]
