p>The mother of a 14-year old boy from Surrey who was killed by a teenage boy whom he played online with She hopes that her son's story will result in better security on the internet for all.

p>Breck Bednar was killed by Lewis Daynes after the 19-year-old lured him to his home at Grays in Essex.
/p>
p>Lorin LaFave? said: "I want Breck's story to show that there really is evil out there. Not everyone.
/p>
p>"But it only takes one bad person to cause this kind of harm."
/p>
p>Lewis Daynes admitted murder and has been sentenced to life in jail.
/p>
p>Lorin the resident, who is an Caterham resident, claims that Breck and his friends used to spend their evenings on Daynes server playing war games.
/p>
p>"When I would enter his room, or walk by and listen I could hear how fascinating it was, and I could see why they were socialising in this way."
/p>
p>She began to be concerned that Daynes was exerting a greater influence on her son and that his personality was changing.
/p>
p>"Breck was telling me that Daynes didn't believe that he should have the computer on his desk. Daynes didn't believe that he should be doing chores. Daynes did not think that he had to be involved in family activities."

p>Lorin took away her son's computer and reported her concerns to the police.

p>'Manipulative behaviour'

p>"I told them about Daynes's manipulative behavior and the fact that I thought he was grooming Breck and the other boys. I just told them, 'I'm sure there's something wrong with him because he's changing Breck's behaviour and the way he thinks.'"

p>She didn't know that the older teenager had given Breck an mobile phone so they could remain in contact.
/p>
p>She claims he would tell Breck about lucrative business opportunities, promising in one email that they would work together and earn millions of pounds.
/p>
p>Lorin believes the boys were impressed by the fake online persona Daynes created for him.
/p>
p>"For some reason Breck wanted to believe in it. He wanted to be with someone who had such influence, such wealth and such experience. He was an instructor, I believe. They were looking up to him."
/p>
p>Daynes informed Breck that they needed to meet face to face to discuss business. Daynes booked a taxi to take Breck to his house. It was there that Breck was murdered.

p>The Bednar family has created The Breck Bednar Memorial Foundation to to promote responsible use of technology.

p>Their slogan is "Play Virtual Live Real."
/p>
p>"The internet is a fantastic tool but play virtually with your friends, be real. Only make contact with people you've known face to face in real life. Breck didn't live the real life. Because he believed in lies of an evil person His real life was death."

p>She is aware that this is a message young people should hear - Breck had an online safety class a month prior to his death However, she wants to ensure they don't forget it.
/p>
p>"If Breck were here he would be saying, 'Guys I didn't believe it either, but there are dangerous people out there'. Unfortunately it took the toll of his life."

p>Imagine that the message is coming from Breck'

p>She wants young people think of Breck as the source of their security message.
/p>
p>"What did he say to Daynes when he was being attacked by Daynes?" Did him think, "Wow, mom was right?" Did he think, 'Man I've really screwed up What did he think? What went through his head? Because at that point , it was too late."

p>Ms. LaFave? wants the government to invest more money in this area to ensure that every parent can feel secure that an investigation will be conducted if they report online concerns.

p>Daynes was due to be tried - accused of murder - but he admitted the crime at the last moment. He is sentenced to a minimum of 25 years.
