<p>In protest to Roe v Wade being overturned by the Supreme Court, a group of hackers called SiegedSec are seeking US state agencies with antiabortion stances.

<p>Eight gigabytes of data were stolen from Kentucky state governments. The state has banned abortion except for rare circumstances. Arkansas has banned it completely.
</p>
<p>A post on the hacker group's Telegram channel appears to display documents that contain information about property transactions, and also contains personally identifiable information of residents of these states.
</p>
<p>The important Roe V Wade decision which legalized abortion in America, was overturned by the Supreme Court on June 23. This triggered a wave of protests, as well as numerous trigger-law restrictions at the state level.

<p>Telegram: "Like many, but we are also pro-choice," the hacking group stated.

<p>SiegedSec's statement says: 'Like many others, we are pro-choice and shouldn't be denied the right to abortion.'
</p>
<p>It continues: "As an added pressure to the US Government We have leaked a number of documents and files that we have retrieved from Kentucky's and Arkansas government servers.

<p>The group declared that "the attacks will continue", and added that: "Our main targets are any prolife organizations including the government servers of states that have anti-abortion laws. Keep protesting, stay safe, and don't f**k* the government.'

<p>SiegedSec also assured its followers that while pursuing abortion rights activism the group will continue to engage in blackhat things,' refers to its more usual activities of targeting private sector businesses.

<p>Dark web security company DarkOwl states that hackers have emerged as a result the ongoing Russian conflict in Ukraine.
</p>
<p>SiegedSec has compromised over 100 websites since its creation, DarkOwl states.
</p>
<p>It also accessed several thousand LinkedIn profiles.
</p>
<p>Before these new US state hacks the group was thought of as a'small-scale operation' that had the potential to evolve into a high-consequential cyber threat according to DarkOwl.
